Salary:           Up to $95,000.00

The City of Brooklet, GA, current population, 2,000+, is experiencing rapid community growth with a projected population growth of 3,500+ by the end of 2028. During the 2024 term of the Georgia Legislature, a local act was approved and signed by the Governor to change  the City to a council-manager form of government.

The City of Brooklet is seeking a highly qualified, professional, inovative and visionary city  manager to successfully manage the community's rapid growth, while at the same time protecting its' hometown character through managed growth policies.

The successful candidate must possess demonstrated and outstanding professional management, commuication, and leadership skills with the proven ability to work effectively and efficiently in the development of a successful City team environment. The successful candidate must possess the necessary technical skills to advise the governing body on a variety of issues associated with ploicy making and challenges confronting the City.

The successful candidate must have a proven record for successfully leading city departments, department heads and employees with proven proactive leadership and management techniques,  developing annual budgets and monitoring all City revenue and expenses, and to keep the elected body and the public informed of the City's finanical position.

The City will require candidates to have graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in public administration, political science, business management, or closely related field. A Master's Degree in public administration is preferred, and a minimum of 5 years experience as an assistant city manager/administrator or preferably a city manager/administrator. Added consideration will be given to candidates that are full members of ICMA or ICMA Credentialed Managers.
