"The National Association of Police Athletic/Activities League and its chapters work nationwide promoting the prevention of juvenile crime and violence by building relationships among kids, National PAL is an organization based on the conviction that young people if reached early enough, are more likely to become productive adults and agents of change. The PAL program brings youth under the supervision and positive influence of a law enforcement agency and expands public awareness about the role of law enforcement and the reinforcement of the responsible values and attitudes instilled in young people by their parents."

The Police Athletic League (PAL) Coordinator is responsible for leading PAL’s programs, fundraising efforts, and community engagement initiatives. This position requires a dynamic leader with experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, and youth development. The ideal candidate will serve as the public face of PAL, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, donors, and the community to ensure the organization’s long-term success.

 

Essential Functions

Develops and implements strategic plans that align with PAL’s mission.

Oversees program operations to ensure high-quality youth development initiatives.

Establishes financial and programmatic goals in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders.

Develops and executes a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including donor cultivation, corporate sponsorships, and government grants.

Manages the budgeting process and oversee fiscal sustainability.

Builds relationships with private donors, corporate partnerships, and government agencies to secure funding.

Represents PAL at community events, media appearances, and on social media to enhance visibility and support.

Builds partnerships with community stakeholders, law enforcement, and educational institutions.

Oversees communication and public relations effort to promote PAL’s mission.

Tracks and analyzes key performance metrics to measure PAL’s impact.

Utilizes data insights to strengthen program effectiveness and fundraising strategies.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, or related field required; supplemented by two years of experience in fundraising, donor cultivation, or securing financial support; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating leadership, initiative, and creativity.
Experience in nonprofit or youth-serving organizations.
Familiarity with grant writing and government funding processes.
Proficiency in data analysis and donor relationship management.

 

Licenses and Certifications

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
 

Physical Abilities

Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station.

Sensory Requirements

Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.

Environmental Factors

Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
