Augusta, Georgia Government is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead and oversee the city’s procurement operations. This position is responsible for managing the city’s purchasing policies, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement laws, and developing strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize purchasing efficiency. Reporting to city leadership, the Director will provide guidance on procurement strategy, oversee vendor negotiations, and implement process improvements to enhance procurement operations.

The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Additionally, candidates must have at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience managing procurement operations within a large-scale public sector organization and at least ten (10) years of experience in the field.

Augusta, Georgia Government offers a competitive salary starting at $102,288.00, dependent upon qualifications and experience. This position provides an opportunity to lead a critical department, implement procurement best practices, and contribute to the city’s financial stewardship and operational success.
