Position:  Landfill Maintenance Worker (FT)                    

Department:   Landfill

Starting Salary:  $16.38/hour                                                 

FLSA Status:   Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

This position performs manual labor in support of the maintenance of the County landfill.

Major Duties:

• Picks up paper.
• Empties bag trailer.
• Hauls recyclables, including cardboard, cans, and plastic.
• Cut grass and weeds.
• Transports fuel.
• Pick up County recycling.
• Sweeps office and maintains a neat and tidy office environment.
• Operates a farm tractor and a truck and trailer.
• Operates lawn maintenance equipment.
• Performs other related duties as required for the efficient operations of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

The successful candidate must pass a Background/Reference Check, and Pre-Employment Drug Screenings prior to the start of employment.
