Listing Summary

The position is responsible for providing care for and treating inmates in a jail setting.  Detention Center nurses administer both routine and emergency medical care and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries for inmate patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a RN Degree.
• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of RN Degree or having had a similar position 1-2 years.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State of Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license.
