Bryan County seeks an ethical Assistant Administrator who is a dedicated team player and can quickly gain the confidence of the community. The Assistant County Administrator must possess the ability to build community trust through the development of partnerships.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace change and help guide the community through challenges.  The successful candidate will be expected to establish credibility and consistency in delivery of services, motivate others to embrace change, as well as provide creative problem solving and excellent communicator in response to unique challenges and opportunities in Bryan County.  The Assistant Administrator will be expected to articulate a vision of excellence for the department heads, establish credibility and consistency in delivery of services, motivate others to embrace changes, as well as provide creative problem solving.  Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and have the ability to assist the County Administrator in articulating a vision and developing consensus around a variety of issues.  Must maintain high standards of professionalism and personal integrity when performing official duties and when engaging the community as a private citizen.

 Minimum Qualifications: 

  • - Bachelor's Degree required in public administration, business administration, public finance, or related degree from an accredited university.  A master’s degree is highly preferred. 
  • - A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a local government of similar size or complexity to Bryan County is expected.  Previous experience as a City/County Manager/Administrator or an Assistant is desirable.

Compensation & Benefits:

· Salary for this position will be established commensurate with experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.

· Starting salary is expected to be in the range of $100,000 to $130,000

· Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and life insurance and retirement benefits

· Negotiable relocation expenses
