The City of Snellville is seeking a qualified and motivated person to serve in the position of Assistant City Manager.  This position is responsible for directing the City’s economic development activities as well as assisting the City Manager and Department Directors with professional input and advice.   This position will report to the City Manager.


Minimal education and experience qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas: accounting, finance, public administration, business administration, management, or closely related field (Master’s Degree preferred). Five years of responsible experience at a management level in local government or related field, or any combination of experience and education that meets the requirements of the position. The successful candidate must be entrepreneurial, energetic, creative, as well as organized, and capable of functioning effectively in a very independent situation.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. 


The City offers an excellent benefits package, including medical & dental insurance for the employee and eligible dependants, life insurance, vision insurance, long-term disability, and retirement.  Starting salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and education.
