The City of Covington is currently accepting applications for a Safety/Risk Management Coordinator in the Human Resources Department with a starting annual salary of $50,356.80 to a maximum annual salary of $76,985.60 depending upon qualifications. This position is responsible for overseeing the following major work functions within the Safety/Risk Management Department: drug and alcohol testing programs, workers compensation administration, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), vehicle/property and general liability insurance programs, and City-wide training under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Director. Minimum education and experience requirements include an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Public or Business Administration, Safety/Risk Management, Human Resources Management, or closely related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred), minimum of four years of work experience in risk management, human resources, workers compensation or a closely related field, must possess or be able to obtain a Certified Workers' Compensation Professional (CWCP) Certification, and Associates in Risk Management for Public Entities (ARM-P) within established time, and must possess or be able to obtain course completion of the National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) – courses 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800 within 12 months of hire, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
