POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Coordinator FY22-16

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

ENTRY SALARY: $18.12 per hour / $37,690.04 annual salary, plus benefits

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating the department’s administrative functions. Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; takes messages; refers to appropriate personnel. Composes and prepares correspondence and reports. Receives and files documents. Receives, sorts, and processes incoming and outgoing mail. Prepares and distributes job postings; accepts and processes employment applications; forwards applications to appropriate departments. Maintains the department website. Prepares new hire packets for employee orientation and assists with the orientation process; submits new hire data for Georgia New Hire Reporting. Maintains office supply inventory; reorders as needed. Receives and processes all terminated employee records. Assists with workers’ compensation and benefits claims. Completes employment verifications. Distributes payroll checks to departments. Performs related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
