Pickens County is seeking applicants for the position of Emergency Management Director / Public Safety Services Quartermaster. This is a full-time position with benefits.
This position reports to the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners ("the Chairperson") or the Chairperson's designee. The position is responsible for directing the emergency management function and for the operation of the public safety services quartermaster function.
The purposes of this position are:  to optimize responses in Pickens County to emergency situations by planning and coordinating response operations, personnel and volunteers and its various collaboration partners and  to optimize public safety services and resources by directing the acquisition, sustainment and deployment of equipment, supplies, and uniforms required by the various public safety service functions and personnel within the span-of-control of the Pickens County Board of Commissioners.
