Salary Range: $50,784 - $78,714
Applications are being accepted for two positions. One position for softs skills delivery and instructional design and the second for technical skills design and training delivery. A writing sample for a previous developed training by the applicant is required.

Purpose of Classification:
The purpose of this classification is to conduct training needs assessments; develop, revise, and update course curriculum; coordinate, develop, implement, and conduct training programs.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Develops, implements, coordinates, and provides training for County employees: develops/designs training materials and lesson plans; facilitates classes and coordinates scheduling with appropriate departments.
Reviews lesson plans and class materials with instructors/facilitators; and reviews and analyze class evaluation reports and attendance numbers to make adjustments for planning and reporting purposes, and training effectiveness.
Evaluates and updates training programs to remain current with new training techniques: research, designs, develops, and implements new training programs/classes as requested.
Markets and promotes training programs creates and distributes promotional materials to increase awareness of and participation in employee development programs; prepares flyers, brochures, emails, etc.; makes presentations to various departments as requested; and serves as liaison to other departments, trainers and agencies as needed. Writes, reviews and publishes training manuals and handbooks prepares lesson plans according to design standards, including all handouts, scenarios/games and other materials for conducting classes; and submits all materials for review by appropriate County/Legal staff as necessary. Maintains copies of all instructional materials in authorized format for historical course documentation purposes.
Administers and monitors end-of-course surveys to assist with process improvement initiatives and strategies.
Works closely with administrative support and Division Manager to schedule and coordinate classes and create a published training schedule.
Assists in managing and tracking tuition reimbursement program in accordance with County policies and facilitate updates to policy, procedures, and forms.
Prepares and receives various forms, reports, correspondence, policies, procedures, manuals, reference materials, or other documentation; reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate.
Communicates effectively with internal and external customers; coordinates work activities, reviews status of work, exchanges information, or resolves issues.
Operates a personal computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, Internet, e-mail, or other software; and operates general office or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions.
Explores trends, innovations and applications within the training industry for program and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, or related field required; three years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, training or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license. PHR/SPHR Certification or Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) required or must be able to attain within one year of employment in the classification.
