The City of Holly Springs, Georgia, is looking for a highly qualified individual to serve as the Chief Building Official.
This position is responsible for overseeing the administration and enforcement of building codes, including supervising, planning, and participating in the operations of the Building Division within the Community Development Department. This position is also responsible for timely plan reviews and processing permits.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years’ experience or service. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Strong preference will be given to applicants who possess an ICC Certification as a Certified Building Official. If not certified as a CBO, the applicant must demonstrate he/she is in the process of getting the certification and must obtain it within 6 months of employment.
Compensation: The pay range for this position is $55,737 to $83,606 with excellent benefits.
