As a Principal Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of city vehicles and equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED with four current NIASE certifications from the approved department list and five years of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance experience or four years of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance experience with the City of Savannah Vehicle Maintenance Department; or
High school diploma or GED with three current NIASE certifications from the approved department list and six years of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance experience or five years of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance experience with the City of Savannah Vehicle Maintenance Department; or
High school diploma or GED with two current NIASE certifications from the approved department list and seven years of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance experience or six years of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance experience with the City of Savannah Vehicle Maintenance Department; or
High school diploma or GED with no current NIASE certifications from the approved department list and nine years of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance experience or seven year of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance experience with the City of Savannah Vehicle Maintenance Department; or
No high school diploma or GED and no current NIASE certifications from the approved department list and ten years of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance experience or eight years of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance experience with the City of Savannah Vehicle Maintenance Department.
Must possess and maintain a valid state Class B Commercial Driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
Work Location: 6900 Sallie Mood Dr Work Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday
Additional Requirements
Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.
