The City of Cordele, located on I-75 and served by three exits leading to exceptional commercial, recreational and healthcare facilities, is actively searching for a Finance Director to join our growing and diverse team. The incumbent will lead by example and demonstrate honesty and integrity along with dedicating themselves to lending unparalleled customer service and professionalism.
The Finance Director is a skilled supervisory position responsible for planning, directing, overseeing and maintaining all of the activities and operations of the City's Finance Department including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, utility billing, accounts receivable, payment processing, grant administration and fixed assets. The Director also performs all tasks necessary to assure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, GASB rules and other professional standards governing municipal finance administration. Position is under the direct supervision of the City Manager.
