As the Chief Executive Officer of Douglas County, this position will oversee the daily operations of Douglas County Government, provide executive leadership and overall direction to County Department Directors and the Board of County Commissioners on policies and procedures, administer all phases of the annual county budgetary process and review budgets for the different departments on a consistent basis, attend department meetings, public hearings and Commission meetings, and be present during emergency situations, discuss local issues with department heads, clients, and the public, do outreach to secure more investment, such as new construction or job creation, from private industry and the state government and working with citizen groups. This position works under the broad policy guidance of the County Commission Chairman and BOC.
Employment is contingent on passing a mandatory Physical/Drug Screen/MVR and Background Investigation.
Salary: $165,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually; this is a contract position and the salary is based on qualifications and experience, plus full benefits package
