JOB SUMMARY

The City of Warm Springs is accepting applications for an Investigative Assistant / Grant Specialist. This position provides routine clerical/administrative support for ongoing open investigations. This position also is responsible for professional work related to the administration and management of grant research and submission of grants on behalf of the department.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

  • May include data entry, copying, and filing, answering phones and greeting visitors.
  • Follow-up interviews.
  • Preparing of case files.
  • Maintains computerized and hard-copy file system of various files/records for department.
  • Oversee grant research which includes locating, studying and presentation of grant proposal to the Office of the Chief for submittal.
  • Coordinates grant writing, submissions and compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations.

  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates Degree preferred); and one (1) year of related experience of office administrations, criminal justice, reception work, records management and computer operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience within a law enforcement agency a plus.

 

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Work is performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions
  • Work is a twenty-four (24) hour week or three (3) day. Flexible schedule.
