Fulltime Communication Officer
Night position 6pm to 6am
Job Summary: receive and respond to incoming calls to the County’s emergency 911communication system; and to dispatch emergency service and/or law enforcement personnel as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED with technical/vocational training in emergency communications or a closely related field; supplemented by some emergency communications training and experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain valid Georgia Driver’s License, GCIC Operator, Basic Communication, CPR, Emergency Medical Dispatch, and POST certifications.
Starting hourly rate: $16.46
Full time position, with medical, vision, dental, short-term disability.
