EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

The City of Pembroke Public Safety Department is accepting applications for a full time P.O.S.T Certified Police Sergeant. Minimum requirements: knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupation field; experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work or subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems usually associated with one to three years’ experience or service; possession of a valid Georgia driver’s license; ability to meet current requirements set forth in the Georgia Mandated Law Enforcement Training Act/POST, possession, or ability to readily obtain GCIC/NCIC certification. Must be 21 years of age. Must also be able to pass an extensive background investigation, psychological exam, and polygraph exam. Must take and pass a drug screening. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
