Job Summary

This is an entry job or temporary position for new hires joining the County work force. Workers in the labor pool are assigned to operating and service departments to assist with extra workload, cover absences and vacations, and supplement crews required to meet unusual changes in the elements such as heat, cold, rain, etc.

Essential Functions

Following satisfactory result on job interview, and entry substance abuse test, and a medical examination if required, a conditional job offer enables the employee to report to the labor pool supervisor for assignment.

Perform property tending duties such as grass cutting, yard repair, week elimination, shoveling, water mop-up, and other duties while awaiting an assignment.

After training, this job will allow worker to use various machines and equipment to enhance and improve the job process.

Additional Responsibilities

May be assigned to any unskilled job available.

After training, more skilled jobs such as painting, or carpentry may be assigned.

Other jobs as assigned.
