Listing Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

            This position is responsible for monitoring wastewater treatment operations to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.

 MAJOR DUTIES FOR THIS POSITION:

• preparing pretreatment discharge permits
• enforces permits for industries.
• conducts plant inspections for industrial customers.
• prepares annual reports for submission to EPD.
• conducts laboratory test.
• administers City’s sludge management plan.
• administers City’s fats, oils and grease program.
• inventories and inspects grease traps and grease interceptors.

•  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:          

• High school diploma or G.E.D. with college level coursework in chemistry, biology, or environmental science desired

• State of Georgia Drivers License

• Skill in oral and written communications
• Skill in performing advanced mathematical calculations.
• Skill in operating a computer, including excel.
• Ability to follow all required safety procedures.
• Willing to travel out of town with some overnight stay.
