The City of Dublin is currently accepting applications for a team member with a positive attitude and initiative to run the Golf Course. This individual will be responsible for daily oversight of golf course maintenance employees, ensuring crew assignments are completed. Schedule and supervise landscape maintenance in the use of the equipment, planning, cultivating, pruning, and caring for plants, shrubs, and trees; the characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers and soil conditions, herbicides, and pest control methods and materials; drainage control methods; and irrigation systems, including wells, pumps, and automatic and manual controls. Performs management, planning, organizing, and directing of the maintenance of the municipal golf course. Work requires considerable amount of independent judgment. Reports directly to the Golf Operations Manager.
Applicants must have experience in turf management or related field or trades training, thorough knowledge of general business administration practices and golf course operations practices and procedures as would be acquired from prior years of similar golf course maintenance experience in progressively responsible positions. Applicants will need possession of a valid State of Georgia Driver's License; able to pass drug test and background check, eligibility to be bonded; and eligible for possession of a pesticide applicators license. Has to be a member of the GSGA Superintendent's Association. 2-4 years in turf management education or related degree is preferred. Starting Salary is $55,000.00 annually based on experience.
