Listing Summary

Through the Chain of Command to the Customer Service Manager. Under general supervision, performs a variety of customer service and clerical duties, and is responsible for collecting utility payments and providing information and assistance to utility customers. This position requires knowledge of proper payment collections with a high level of confidentiality and problem solving skills, and the ability to provide accurate, timely, and courteous service under stressful and adverse circumstances. This position also requires extensive knowledge of due process. 

 Qualifications: 

• High school graduation or equivalent. 
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in customer service, accounts payable or utility billing. 
• Never been convicted of a felony. 
• A citizen of the United States or has obtained legal work status. 
• Must pass a detailed background investigation. 
• Must be able to pass a credit check. 
• Work evenings, weekends and/or holidays as required.
