This position is responsible for conducting criminal investigations for the District Attorney’s Office. Conducts case investigations; coordinates with law enforcement agencies; collects incident reports and prepares criminal history reports; prepares search warrants and open records requests; obtains certified convictions; prepares subpoenas; creates witness lists; interviews suspects, victims, and witness; investigates crime scenes; prepares evidence for use in court. Serves witness/victim subpoenas; transports victims to and from court; assists with indigent defense evaluations; assists with the presentation of evidence; coordinates witness for court; provides court room security. Conducts juror criminal and drivers’ history investigations. Provides support for probation revocation cases; runs and analyzes criminal history reports; obtains reports of new arrests; obtains certified convictions. Responds to active crime scenes, major trauma cases, and/or high-profile crimes as required and when on-call. Completes required training. Monitors defendants released on bond with ankle monitoring requirements. Performs related duties.
