Human Resources Director

Salary Range -  $73,000 – $90,000

The City of Thomaston is currently searching for a Human Resources Director. This position is responsible for directing the city's human resources functions, and reports directly to the City Manager. Guidelines for the position include EEOC regulations, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, open record laws, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Affordable Care Act, state and federal records retention schedules, and city policies and procedures. These guidelines require judgment, selection, and interpretation in application. This position develops department guidelines. 

Applicants should have knowledge and a level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in a course of study related to the occupational field and experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with three to five years’ experience or service.
