Salary Range:$111,694.00 To 138,500.00 Annually

This classification directs the planning and organizing of projects, administers community development activities, and coordinates the implementation of land development.

• The successful applicant must have strong team building skills.
• Strong preference for applicants with local Georgia government experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required BS and Preferred Master's degree in Urban Planning or a related field, including Urban Studies, Geography, Environmental Studies/Science, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, GIS, Public Administration, Political Science, or other similarly related fields; supplemented by ten (10) years of experience in planning, zoning and development review; and four (4) years supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

• Requires a Professional certification with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
• Requires a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
