Intent to Bid: 2023 Fire Department Protective Gear
Catoosa County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed written bids for (48 sets) of Protective Gear for our Fire Department. A set includes (1) protective coat and (1) pair of protective pants. The attached document labeled 2023-11 Fire Dept Protective Gear Specifications provides detailed information on the minimum requirements for structural firefighting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and is the basis for the requirements of this bid. Due to the inherent risk of firefighting, Catoosa County chooses to exercise it Legal Right to Specify which is further detailed in this document. document titled 2023-11 Fire Department Protective Gear

BID SUBMISSION
Two (2) copies of your Bid must be sealed and delivered in person, by mail or overnight delivery service to:

Sealed Bids must be received by: 2:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023. Bids received after said time will not be accepted.
The envelope shall state: “SEALED BID – 2023 FIRE DEPARTMENT PROTECTIVE GEAR” to prevent accidental opening. BIDS shall be identified on the exterior of the sealed envelope with all the information required by law, including the name of the project and the Respondent's name and address.

The Deadline for questions is Friday, March 17th, 2023, by 12:00 p.m. Responses to Questions will be posted on the website on Monday, March 20th, 2023.

REQUIREMENTS
Responder must have minimum Worker’s Comp and General Liability Insurance in full force and effect. No Bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Respondent holds any and all necessary or required Federal, State or local licenses and/or permits. Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 13-10-91, all contractors and sub-contractors performing work within the State of Georgia on a contract with a public employer must register and participate in a federal work authorization (E-verify). Catoosa County will require certification from Respondent that this requirement has been met. Each Respondent shall submit with its Bid a copy of current Business License &/or Occupational Tax Certificate issued in the state of Georgia. If Respondent cannot provide this License, it will be required to obtain one from Catoosa County if it is awarded this contract. Qualifications of the Respondent will be reviewed before the Award of the Contract.
Catoosa County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive formalities, technicalities, or irregularities and to re-advertise if necessary. The contract between Catoosa County and the selected responder shall be subject to the payment agreement drawn up between Catoosa County and the selected responder.
Any Bid submitted in response to this Request shall remain open for acceptance by the Board, and same shall be honored by the contractor, for a period of thirty (30) days from the date set forth hereinabove for the receipt of Bids.
