The Distribution Engineer position is responsible to provide technical assistance in the design and construction of the Cooperative’s distribution system and provide input in the areas of possible improvement to existing facilities; serve as the point of contact for large consumers within the district with ongoing construction, expansion, or adjustment needs related to the Cooperative’s distribution system; provide technical assistance to consumers, provide supervision for section personnel assigned; work in a team-oriented environment and provide the leadership and vision consistent with the mission of the Cooperative. 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or closely related field required. 
  • Undergraduate curriculum including engineering related to the field of electrical power distribution and transmission is preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE: Require a minimum of two (2) years of responsible electrical distribution  experience involving engineering design and layout for the expansion of the electric distribution system, power requirements, and related specifications and codes; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job is required. 

 

Compensation & Benefits include:

The starting salary for the position will be based upon the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate; starting salary is expected to be in the range of $85,000-$95,000.  The Cooperative offers a  comprehensive benefits package including:  Health, dental, vision and life insurance, excellent retirement plan, paid time off and negotiable relocation expenses
