POSITION TITLE:  Benefits/Wellness Coordinator                                                     

DEPARTMENT:  Human Resources                        

ENTRY SALARY$21.00 per hour, plus benefits

JOB SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for coordinating county employee benefits and wellness services. Assists employees with benefits/wellness questions and concerns; answers questions and provides information to employees and others regarding employee benefits/wellness and coverage. Assists with dependent validations and audits records for eligibility. Processes change forms, payment authorizations, vouchers and other forms. Coordinates and assists with various countywide wellness meetings and events. Assists with countywide wellness program. Processes various benefits related reports. Coordinates and assists with countywide open enrollment. Assists with programs for the wellness grant. Assists with wellness studies and surveys. Assists with benefits on the county website. Assists and trains employees on program processes and procedures. Performs related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
