Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the administration of the various functions of government as directed by the Board of Commissioners and all applicable laws.  The County Manager exercises managerial authority and oversees the operations of all county departments within jurisdiction, as well as intergovernmental relations, personnel, finance and budget, capital projects, and property control.

Job Requirements:
Applicant must possess knowledge and a level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in a Public Administration, Business Management, or related field. A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of diverse and progressively-responsible management experience in county government, or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge and skill to perform the essential duties of the position. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understanding the diverse objectives and functions of the subunit in the division/department in order to direct and coordinate work within the division/department, usually interpreted to require three to five years of related experience. Abide by State and County Code of Ethics Individual must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
