Adaptive Recreation Coordinator ( Temporary Part-time)

Listing Summary

 

Under general direction of the Recreation Services Manager, creates, develops, and oversees Adaptive and Inclusive programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), including but not limited to youth, teen, young adult, and senior social programs, fitness activities, enrichment classes and camps, and special events; establish and foster relationships with community partners.  Assist with Division marketing, annual programming, and events.

 

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Two years previous experience performing general administrative and program coordination work in special needs/adaptive programs.
  • Must be willing to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays assigned.
  • Ability to work 20-25 hours per week, part-time.
  • Possession of a valid Georgia Class C driver's license.

 

Preferred:

  • Additional specialized course work in therapeutic recreation, child development, special education, or a related field.
  • One (1) year experience in marketing or equivalent education.
