Purpose of Job
The purpose of this job is to monitor the operations of the healthcare provider within the Athens Clarke County Jail to ensure contract compliance. Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: analysis of the contract between Athens-Clarke County government and the selected healthcare provider, examine staffing patterns and alert appropriate staff to any deviance from contract requirements, calculate any reimbursement owed to the county based on contract standards and request reimbursement on behalf of the county, provide status updates to security staff within the jail setting, audit processes routinely and report findings, identify any areas in need of improvement, act as a liaison between the healthcare provider and the security staff, and review/audit medical records for quality assurance purposes.

Job Related Requirements
Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday with occasional nights and weekends. 

May be required to work religious holidays.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Must be able to work well with others and communicate effectively.

Must be able to meet departmental deadlines.

Minimum Training & Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

Bachelor's degree in Public/Business Administration, Accounting, Management, Criminal Justice, Nursing or a related discipline required, with three years of management analysis, auditing, or related experience in correctional medicine required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.

Must possess a valid Georgia Driver’s License.
