Details: This position is within the Stormwater Division of the Public Works Department. 

Job Summary

The Equipment Operator operates light and heavy equipment and performs general laboring duties. Prefer Class "A" or "B" CDL. This position works 2,080 hours per year. The annual salary is $36,628.80 or $38,480.00 with CDL. 

 

Essential Job Functions

• Operates a front-end loader, tractor, dozer, excavator, or other equipment used to facilitate the work of the division;
• Operates tools such as a jack hammer, chainsaw, chop saw and other tools as needed;
• Washes and performs preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment;
• Performs laboring duties pertinent to the operations of the division such as, shoveling, concrete work, lawn maintenance, etc.;
• Performs general housekeeping duties on occasion;
• Serves on City Emergency Response Team as required.

Requirements to Perform Work

• High School Diploma or GED;
• One (1) year of experience in a related field;
• Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience; and 
• Valid State of Georgia Driver’s License.
