NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

 

The Douglas County Board of Commissioners (Board) is seeking qualified contractors to provide interior renovation, upgrade of kitchen equipment, new windows, new exterior stairs, ramps, railings, and canopies at the Douglas County Senior Center located at 6287 Fairburn Road, Douglasville, GA 30134

 

The Architect for this project is Jericho Design Group located at 208 Pirkle Ferry Road, Suite C Cumming, GA 30040. Copies of the construction documents may be obtained at the office of Jericho Design Group, 208 Pirkle Ferry Road, Suite C, Cumming, Georgia 30040; telephone 470-313-6356.

 

All bid documents may be obtained from the Douglas County website https://www.bidnetdirect.com/georgia/douglascounty and the Georgia Procurement Registry https://ssl.doas.state.ga.us/gpr/index.

 

Responses to this ITB must be received electronically via Douglas County BidNet’s online bidding platform on or before Tuesday, September 26, 2023, 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, after which time and date they will no longer be accepted.

 

There will be a pre-bid meeting and tour of the facility location on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. held at the Douglas County Senior Center located at 6287 Fairburn Road, Douglasville, GA 30134

 

Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond for 5% of the amount of the bid submitted with the proposal.

 

This project is being funded in part by a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Bidders and subcontractors must comply with Federal requirements relating to equal opportunity and to the Davis Bacon Act, Kopeland Anti- kickback Act, Executive orders 11246 and 11375, Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 3 of the Urban Development Act of 1968 as well as other Federal Regulations as contained in the Project Manual.

 

This is a Section 3 Covered Project under the HUD Act of 1968 and Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply.

The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids if it appears in the Owner’s best interest to do so. Bids submitted from the three apparent lowest bidders shall be held by the Owner for a period of 60 days from the receipt of Bids unless an extension past 60 days is acceptable to the Bidder.
