Listing Summary

The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission is accepting applications for the position of Grant Writing Specialist/Project Manager for the Economic and Community Development Department.  The position serves as a consultant, liaison, and project manager for units of local government in a 12-county region.  The position is responsible for project development, preparation of federal and state grant applications focusing on community and economic development, and markets project development services to the GMRC member governments.  

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in planning, economic development, or closely related field; supplemented by two (2) years previous experience and/or training involving technical writing, grant development and administration, and experience in the public sector, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Previous grant writing knowledge preferred. 

Salary is $50,000 - $55,000. 

A valid driver's license, MVR, and pre employment drug screen is required.  GMRC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
