Purpose of Work:  

This is a professional position that manages a wide variety of analytical and administrative duties within the City of Decatur’s City Manager’s Office (CMO). Serves on the City’s management team and leads the performance management team. This position is responsible for professional level research as well as provides assistance to assigned management staff. May be asked to prepare and present staff reports to the City Manager and City Commission.

Opportunities and Challenges:

The CMO Operations Analyst will focus on the following tasks in the first several months:

Analyze and rewrite the charges for the City’s resident boards and commissions.

Receive requests for services from citizens, elected officials and City department heads and follows through on requests by resolving issues or referring to the appropriate resources.

Provide coordination assistance in the preparation of the annual budget document.
