JOB ANNOUNCEMENT - Human Resources Director
The City of McDonough is accepting resumes for the position of Human Resources Director. This position is a highly responsible managerial, professional, administrative, and technical work position, responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and implementing the City’s Human Resources Program. Work involves the establishment of policies and procedures to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the programs. The City has approximately 200 employees. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the City Administrator.

Candidates must have experience in creating and working within Excel spreadsheets.
Experience with Georgia Municipal Association’s Defined Benefit Plan is a huge plus.
Experience with UKG would be beneficial.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Human Resources, Business Management or related field; Master’s degree preferred; recognized certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or GLGPA certification preferred; five (5) years of related experience in a supervisory role; valid State of Georgia Driver’s License; acceptable MVR and criminal history
