The City of Wadley is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support the City Administrator and assist with various administrative tasks essential to city operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the City Administrator, including handling inquiries, scheduling meetings, and maintaining records.
  • Answer phones, handle requests, and assist residents with general inquiries.
  • Perform data entry, document filing, and prepare correspondence.
  • Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining an organized office environment.
  • Operate standard office equipment, including computers, fax, and copier.
  • Cross-train in other municipal clerical departments

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and interact professionally with the public and elected officials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general computer skills.

Requirements

  • Must pass a drug, alcohol, and criminal background check.
